My Cricut Craft Room Theme Day Thursday (2012-79)

Hi crafters! Welcome to the My Cricut Craft Room Theme Day Thursday!  Today's theme is using the Tie the Knot Cricut Cartridge.  Don't you just love weddings!  When I was married, we eloped in Vegas, but I said whenever I get married again, it will definitely be a traditional wedding.

For my project, I made a favor box.  I wanted to create a more vintage, monochromatic with a pop of color favor box.  I used the Blossom cricut imagine  cartridge to create the background paper.  I had some lace ribbon in my stash  that I used to hold my box together.

The tag was handmade.  I cut out a rectangle piece of Colonial White cardstock and snipped the edges to make the tag.  I used the Pink By Design"Here Comes the Bride" Stamp Set.  I inked the tag in Smokey Plum ink!  The tag was attached to the box using some Twinery twine that I got from Erica's Room.

I love how this turned out.  Gives off a nice simple elegant look.

You Did it Repost

I am reposting this blog post.  I accidently posted this challenge early last week.

Welcome to another challenge over at Cricut Cardz Challenge! The theme is "You Did It!", make a graduation card using any cartridge or colors you like.

For my card, I used the Art Philosophy cartridge on the first layer of the card. I used my Cameo for the image. Now as you can see, there are two graduates. My daughter graduates from Pre-K on Thursday and in August, I graduate from Keller's Graduate School of Management. I used some Bo Bunny Block Party paper on my card. I just received some liquid pearls from erica's room that I used on the dipolmas.

Thank you for stopping by! Check out the Challenge for more inspiration from the DT and to join the fun.

No More Pencils, No More Books (2012-78)

For the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Entry --- Click Here!

"No more pencils, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks!"  Do the kids still say that?

Welcome to the Paper Crafting World Challenge!  Can you guess what the theme is?  You guess it! It's time to make those graduation cards and end of year teacher gifts.  To help you along, I created this Apple Box using the apple box cutting file.

I added candy to my box, but you can easily put in some small hand sanitizers.  I did not resize the file, but you can place larger goodies if you do.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time "My Teacher Rocks" stamp set.

Don't forget to head over to Cooking with Cricut to play along in the PCW challenge!

Father's Day Card (2012-77)

Hi crafters!  I have a quick post today!  I made this Father's Day card for CAS-ual Fridays, where the theme is to make a masculine card using pattern paper.  I used a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, but I didn't complete it in time to enter into the challenge.

The image stamp is from Stampin' Up! Adventure Awaits set.  Here is the cool thing about this stamp.  I own My Digital Studios, so I place the stamp on a tag and created a JPEG.  I took the JPEG and placed it into the Silhouette Studio to cut. I have been buying my Stampin' Up! stamps digitally lately because it's more cost effective for me.  I am discovering new thing I am able to do, which takes my crafting to another level.  The sentiment stamp is from Cardz TV Stamps "Happy Days" set.   I love this sets because it covers all holidays and occasions.

I hope you enjoy today's post.  See you soon for the Paper Crafting World Challenge.

CWC Blog-Aversary Blog Hop: Day 6 (2012-76)

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut's 2nd Blog-Aversary and our week long celebration! Each day for a whole week (May 19-26) we will be bringing you fabulous projects made by our Design Team members. We have some GREAT blog candy as well as some daily file and graphic give-aways -- so you will definitely want to make PCW-CWC your daily stop every day this week!

Our theme for Saurday (the final day of the hop) is...

For my project, I used the Art Deco Cricut Cartridge.  I thought it was perfect for the theme!  I wanted to keep this a little vintage, so I used the DCWV Timeless Stack and inked my edges in Cocoa.  I added some rhinestones to add in bling.  For the sentiment, I used the PBD Almost Famous stamp set.
