RCS #96 - Ella Enchanted

Welcome to another challenge at Red Carpet Studio!

Hi all! It's Candice here with a new movie challenge!

Today's challenge is inspired by the movie ELLA ENCHANTED.
Based on Gail Carson Levine's award winning novel, this is the story of Ella, a young woman who was given a "gift" of obedience by a fairy named Lucinda. She must obey anything anyone tells her to do. When her mother passes away, she is cared for by her thoughtless and greedy father who remarries a loathsome woman with two treacherous daughters. This modern-day, fantasy Cinderella story features fairies, ogres and elves...as well as a hero in the guise of Prince Charmont, whom Ella falls in love with. Unlike Cinderella though, she must depend on herself and her intelligence to get her through her troubles and find Lucinda in order for her "curse" to be broken! Written by M. C. Gomez

THE CHALLENGE: Create a project with a magical fairy tale theme.  Think royals, unicorns, fairies and etc...
(Please click HERE for our 2015 challenge guidelines)

For my card, I decided to create a princess birthday card because today is my birthday! Yay!  I started the card with creating the balloons from the Stampin Up Celebrate Today stamp set and the balloon dies.  Then I used the 100% Princess stamp set from Jaded Blossom for my little princess.  I colored the image using my Copic and Spectrum Noir markers. I added some thick baker's twine that was in the Stampin' Up Sale-a-bration brochure.

Thank you stopping by! Don't forget to head over to Red Carpet Studio to see that design team created.

This months challenge sponsor is My Scraps & More

One randomly selected participant will win a $15 gift certificate to their store!

Make sure to link up your creation below by April 2, 2015 by midnight CST to qualify for this challenge and to be entered to win this months prize!

We can't wait to see what you create!

We want you to be eligible to win the prize! Please make sure to read our challenge guidelines HERE before entering the challenge.

TDT - Birthday Cards #3

Welcome to Theme Day Thursday!  This month is all about those birthday cards.  Today, I am showcasing a card using products from the Jaded Blossom's March release.  If you haven't had a chance to check out their stamp and die line, then head over to the Jaded Blossom Store.

For my card, I used the new Birthday Dies and Supersized Birthday Greetings.  After I die cut the balloons, I used the Peachy Keen September Stamp Club set for the faces.  The papers come from the January Card Kit from the Stamps of Life.  This card will be great for any kid!

Thank you for stopping by.

Make A Card Monday #9

Welcome to Make a Card Monday!  Today I am showcasing the Butterfly Basic and Butterfly dies and I am using a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  This is a card that I shared over on my other blog.  Click HERE to check it out.

Butterfly Basics

Here is what I did...
  1. Cut the 4 1/4 x 11 sheet of Whisper White for the card and scored at 5 1/2. This will create an A2 size card base.
  2. Cut 1" x 5 1/2" piece of the Best Day Ever DSP.
  3. Using the Big Shot and Butterfly Dies, die cut the butterfly out of Coastal Cabana cardstock.
  4. On the card base, use 2nd generational stamping for the flower. The image is stamped with Crushed Curry Ink.
  5. The sentiment is stamped using Crushed Curry Ink.

TDT - Birthday Cards #2

Welcome to Theme Day Thursday!  This month is all about the birthday.  Instead of creating a card this week, I decided to make a treat bag.

I used the mini treat bag thinlit die  I just love this die and it makes creating those bags so easy.  I am also loving that Stampin Up is carrying photopolymer stamps.  It make lining images up so much easier.
